What a pleasant surprise. I have driven past this motel numerous times whilst in Portland and never thought about staying there but this time I did. The gentleman on reception was pleasant and friendly. Apparently, I had a "big" room which was down the back. Oh what a big room it was. Queen/king bed with two large single beds. The A/C worked very well which was great as the temp was in single digits at night. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, pillow was nice and there was no street noise. Would I stay here again.....ooo yes.

Melaleuca motel is reasonably priced and extremely well located close to restaurants and the harbourside. The queen room is spacious, has a comfortable bed, a couch, a table for two and a desk. Crockery and cutlery are provided as well as a microwave. Although there is no sink in the kitchenette, the hosts are happy to take your used dishes and supply you with clean ones, a great service in my opinion. The shower was excellent. The hosts are kind and obliging, and have done much to make this slightly elderly motel comfortable.

The motel is very well situated with a very short walk to shops, cafes ☕️, the port precinct and across the road from the town hall, library and heated indoor community pool. The units are older but comfortable. As an older person I was very appreciative of the rubber suction mat provided to prevent slipping in the shower.

Excellent location near the scenic central business area. A good one night stop as part of a staged journey. The suite was spacious, the bed was comfy and warm, and the air conditioner worked perfectly. Parking outside room door was convenient and secure.

The location was excellent, easy walk to the main shopping centre and the harbour. Comfy rooms with a convenient layout. Great facilities that all worked perfectly - fridge, microwave, smart TV, a heater that worked really well, comfy bed with electric blanket. The staff were accommodating and friendly.

The motel is older style. Room was huge with separate area for fridge, tea making facilities etc. The bathroom was also large. Very nice duvet and bed linen along with an electric blanket. It was quiet at night. Good value for money

The room was lovely and clean and the location was perfect. The recommendation of the local Indian restaurant was spot on. The amenities were everything we needed.

Very friendly staff, fabulous greeting, with great tips for spots to dine in the area. I had no problems with the room either, and would happily stay for several nights in the spacious room.

The location was perfect for me as it was a 2 minute walk to the pub for dinner and a 2 minute drive to my first job Great water pressure in the shower and got hot really quick

Excellent quiet location, close to local shops and restaurants. The room was immaculate, and the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of spare blankets and pillows. TV available with local stations and Fox.
